Active Shooter Survival Class

Empowering You With Proactive Life-Saving Decisions

The threat of an active shooter attack is rare but unfortunately very real. We aim to eradicate the “It can’t happen to me” mentality and hopefully change the way people everywhere would respond to an armed intruder. At A Hero for Life, we believe that individuals should be prepared for active shooter events and empower themselves to make their own life-saving decisions rather than waiting for a response from law enforcement. Once empowered to make their own life saving decisions, individuals must be trained in proactive shooter response options, rather than a passive, mandated one size all response.

Things To Think About:

When you walk into your place of work tomorrow morning, sit down. Take a good look around and ask yourself this question: What’s the quickest way to get out of here if a shooter walks in, or where will I hide if I can’t run?

Then ask yourself another question: If there’s nowhere to hide, what can I use to save myself?

Think outside the box now.

Is your purse carrying the equivalent of a brick? Then swing it like a projectile.

You’re wearing a belt or shoelaces or using a laptop power cord. Use that to tie the doors shut and buy you some time.

Is there a fire extinguisher nearby? You can use that to whack someone over the head or spray them in the face. Just don’t be timid.

We at A Hero for life want all Americans to have the knowledge and skills to survive when shots are fired. We can achieve this by training as many people as possible and implementing training programs such as this one. It’s time to start anticipating man-made disasters and being prepared.

In each one of our onsite classes we cover all aspects of an active shooter situation which is taught through a video presentation as well as a comprehensive workbook. In addition we also cover how to take care of medical emergencies that could potentially happen in this situation. Examples would include bleeding control, tourniquets and panic attacks. Each participant will also receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
